Island Park Lodge was built in 1947 by the Piersanti and Blackington families. Originally opened as a lodge,
gambling saloon and restaurant along old hwy 191. Island Park Lodge enticed the weekend traveler and locals that wanted to try their luck on the slot machines or stop by and gather around the fireplace for some good old fashion conversation. Once gambling was abolished in the early 1950's, Pete Piersanti moved to Contact, Nevada to open the well known "Cactus Pete's." To this day the friendly staff of Island Park Lodge still welcomes the summer, winter and weekend traveler. Even though the slot machines are gone, we love to hear the fishing, hunting and snow machine
stories.

Our crew is well informed about our beautiful area and special events that are taking place throughout the entire season.
Our lobby is the temporary location for The Island Park Area Chamber of Commerce Information Center.
